Schneider Electric launches Ultimate range of wiring devices at the Lagos Architects Forum
Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management officially launched its design brand, ‘Ultimate Range of Sockets and Switches’ at the recently concluded Lagos Architects Forum and Exhibition 2015, organised by the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Architects.
The Forum & Exhibition which held on Wednesday 6th to Saturday 9th May 2015, at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos provided professionals in the industry, retailers, manufacturers of building materials and other stakeholders a platform to engage in thought provoking sessions about the global trend in the sector. The event also presented the participants with the opportunity to showcase their products and services.
Speaking on the product launch, the Vice President Retail, Schneider Electric, Mr. Tonye Briggs, explained that “the Ultimate Range of Sockets and Switches provides one of the most comprehensive ranges of beautifully crafted, sleek, sophisticated fittings in the market. Commenting further, Mr Briggs explained that the exhibition provided a platform for Schneider Electric to showcase its architectural products and solutions to seasoned professionals, local and international experts in the business of architecture, government agencies and many other stakeholders.
The Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Architects, Lagos State Chapter, Mr. Ladipo Lewis in his remark at the event, said “the aim of the institute is to strive further and achieve greater heights taking advantage of the immense opportunities available in the city of Lagos”. He said that the expo was an evidence of the growing sophistication of Nigeria as a country known for the very high quality building and construction materials, a manifestation of the need for a medium where professionals in the industry, dealers and manufacturers of building materials and related businesses could converge to showcase their goods and services.
This year’s four-day Lagos Architects Forum (LAF) 6.0 – With the theme “The Business of Architecture”, focused on all facets of architectural practice. Among other issues deliberated at the forum, professionals discussed the worrisome trend of illegal incursion of foreign architects into the country which has led to gradual erosion of area of core practice, revenue and sometimes opportunities for local architects.
