Schneider Electric, Bonny Youth Forum, JAMB partner on CBT Centre Port Harcourt (Nigeria)

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management in partnership with the Bonny Youth Forum, BYF and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has completed its first major CSR initiative, a Computer Based Test (CBT) centre in Bonny Kingdom where over 800 candidates took their JAMB examinations recently. The CBT Centre which opened for business in April was Schneider Electric’s commitment to both the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) as well as the bonny community.

Speaking about the examination sessions, Schneider Electric’s program manager, Jeffrey Barret said “the sessions went very smoothly, and the examiners attested that it was the smoothest they’d ever been involved with but they were especially impressed by our centre and the community support. “Many thanks go to all Schneider Electric staff whose support made this happen; we believe it will give the community of Bonny greater access to education and more opportunities in life.” He said.

Prior to the new CBT centre by Schneider Electric, students in Bonny Island have had to travel very long distance to sit for their JAMB examinations and as such, it was truly a historic moment for the Bonny Kingdom Community and arguably one of the best CSR projects ever made by an NLNG contractor at Bonny Kingdom.
